LOHAGAD - One of the easiest fort to trek in Maharashtra situated in Malavli near Lonavala around 160 kms from Mumbai by road (Hours may varry depending on traffic) and 2.30hrs from Mumbai by train. Any non-regular trekker can reach without any trouble. Visibility of surroundings during monsoon is less due to fog, it is best to visit during winters. RAIGAD FORT - THE CAPITAL OF HINDAVI SWARAJYA

My first visit to Raigad Fort, an amazing experience, enthralled by the fort and its amazing construction more than what I expected. The Fort truly such a masterpiece of  planning and infrastructure at a height of 2700 Ft. is testimony of skill of then constructors and the vision of our great king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The valleys, mountains, trees and the breeze surrounding the fort sing praises of courage and glory of Shivaji Maharaj and his soldiers.
